The Pitch

We was allocated a time 2.40pm-3.00pm in MS018. Rebecca prepared a shared PowerPoint presentation which featured all of our developing work as a visual aid alongside our pitch, this included the typography and illustrations shown above and also included Alisha's animation of a bird too.

Typography

Sam experimented with different typefaces and sizing to show a physical scale and character of the text itself, for example pigeon is using a sans serif font, each letter at a random orientation, to show a fun animal character, whereas status is using a more-so serif font to show the brick like stiff structure of a statue.

I experimented with different typefaces too and how sans serif would balance between calligraphy and weights, to show the elegance of a bird compared to the cold structure of a statue.

Illustration

Rebecca experimented with different styles of illustration, such as hyper-realistic versus cartoonist, as a group we decided a mix of the two, creating a visual pleasing piece but also not too distracting from the message we want to convey.

Animation

Alisha experimented with different bird sequences through animation creating a short gif as to how we could go about animating our pigeon in our final piece through a QR code feature. (below: image. gif not supported)
